The first two entries, Pema and Eckhart, are the people who helped me most through a very rough patch of my life. The rest is an alphabetical list of authors, resources, and people that really had a large impact on me, and were instrumental in helping shape my new understanding of the world I live in. I’ve read hundreds of books, listened to many audio books, talked with and listened to many people. I have gathered for myself a new set of experiences and knowledge that has lead me to this new understanding of how the universe works. I will add to the list over time.

Pema Chodron, most anything by her. Using simple language and humor she explain why certain situations, people, words might ‘hook’ you/your emotions, and how to deal with those feelings and emotions in a way that empowers you to move forward through them and out of them. A very powerful tool. Pema is a Buddhist nun who can explain eastern thinking to westerners in a no-nonsense, down-to-earth, friendly way.

Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now, also watch any videos with him speaking. I call him a modern day philosopher. He’s a master at being calm and cool no matter what comes his way. But he wasn’t always like that. By reading his book, making notes, and copying down excerpts, I was able to cope and finally found the courage to get out of a terrible situation. My life became exponentially better. I was able to understand how to cope, and rise above situations, and turn things around. This is another technique that takes time to internalize, but is a very powerful tool in living a wonderful, co-creative life. If you are working on this, believe me, the Universe will send little scenarios your way to practice your newfound skills.
